Meet Nina
Nina Jaimes
M.H.S., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist
Nina is an experienced speech therapist who has worked with children in elementary schools, high schools, early intervention, and private practice settings. She founded The Speech Gym in order to take more of a “whole child” approach to speech therapy – especially for children with neurological differences, unique learning profiles, and sensory needs. She is passionate about listening to each family’s priorities and values as she guides them on their journey through speech therapy!
Nina earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Illinois-Champaign, and her M.H.S. in Communication Disorders from Governors State University. As a lifelong learner, she has dedicated her career to serving children with neurological differences, and she stays up-to-date on the best therapy practices through continuing education and professional learning community memberships.
In her spare time, Nina enjoys attending sporting events, traveling, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with her husband and four beautiful children.

The Speech Gym accepts:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois.
- Private pay clients without the need for a doctor’s referral or insurance verification.
- If requested, we will gladly provide monthly “superbills” for you to submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Whether you are interested in online speech therapy services or you would like for us to meet your child at home, preschool, or daycare, we make the process convenient for you. Our in-person services are available in Chicago and the Northwest suburbs, and teletherapy services are accessible to all residents of Illinois.
