Evaluation & Therapy Services

At The Speech Gym, we believe that children learn best when they are MOVING!

  • Using a combination of play, art, music, and active movement, we will support your child in building new communication skills to engage with the world around them.
  • Our move-to-learn approach works best for toddlers, early language learners, and children with neurological and sensory differences like Autism and ADHD.

We look forward to partnering with your family, working toward your goals, and helping your child reach their full potential!

Nina Jaimes

Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist

Nina is an experienced speech therapist who has worked with children in elementary schools, high schools, early intervention, and private practice settings. She founded The Speech Gym in order to take more of a “whole child” approach to speech therapy – especially for children with neurological differences, unique learning profiles, and sensory needs. She is passionate about listening to each family’s priorities and values as she guides them on their journey through speech therapy!

Nina earned her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Illinois-Champaign, and her M.H.S. in Communication Disorders from Governors State University. As a lifelong learner, she has dedicated her career to serving children with neurological differences, and she stays up-to-date on the best therapy practices through continuing education and professional learning community memberships.

In her spare time, Nina enjoys attending sporting events, traveling, reading, practicing yoga, and spending time with her husband and four beautiful children.
